As the sixth painting in my Australian Raptor series, this piece continues my exploration of the unique presence each bird of prey brings to the landscape. The Whistling Kite is not as bold or commanding as some of its raptor cousins, yet its call and its soaring silhouette are a familiar and enduring part of the Australian sky.
Through this painting, I aim to honour its understated beauty and the role it plays in the delicate balance of our environment, reminding us that even the quieter voices in nature are vital and worthy of admiration. |
