Simple pleasures is about the things that bring us joy, the little things that we appreciate and make us smile or remind us of a distant memory of what once was. Pleasures that appeal to our natural senses leaving us with a sense of comfort and serenity. This painting was composed with the intent of transporting the viewer into an imaginary space where one may loose themselves in a feeling of peace and tranquility far from the chaos of day to day pressures and to stimulate the senses with the sweet harmonious sound of a violin and the smell of freshly cut flowers, the rustic look of an old can leaving you wonder what culinary delights it once held, and lastly the warmth and comfort of a favourite throw. |
