| "Faith" is the sister piece to my earlier work Torn—a continuation of the emotional journey from survival to surrender, from holding everything together to finally letting go. Where Torn captured the tension of being pulled in different directions, Faith speaks to the quiet strength it takes to believe there is something more—more healing, more hope, more life.
This painting is a tribute to the mothers who broke cycles, those who are still finding their way, and those who continue to choose love one day, one breath, one brushstroke at a time. Through raw layers and symbolic depth, I explore what it means to rise after being broken, to reparent yourself, and to hold space for trust—especially when it's hard-earned.
Painted slowly in oils, each layer demands patience, much like the healing process itself. The vibrant colours emerge as a testament to freedom and the hard-won joy that follows pain. Faith honours the women whose strength may go unseen, but whose courage changes generations.
