| In the area in which I live, I am fortunate to have a choice of walking in one of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia - a World Heritage-listed area comprising the major remaining areas of rainforest in southeast Queensland and northeast New South Wales. It represents outstanding examples of major stages of the Earth’s evolutionary history. These subtropical rainforests include Binna Burra, O’Reillys, Springbrook, Purlingbrook, Nightcap, Natural Bridge and the Border Ranges.
My painting is set in one of these beautiful rainforests and I hope that the viewer can experience the cool, damp mystery of these subtropical rainforests.
