| I first began this painting as part of a weekly art class project, — I am always drawn to the rich, warm sunset colours and loved the striking presence of the woman walking. Her posture, the movement in her dress, and the golden glow of the landscape all spoke to me. There’s something about painting figures from behind that I’m naturally drawn to — it leaves a little mystery, inviting the viewer to imagine where she’s been or where she’s going.
The vibrant tones reflect not just the heat of the land, but the inner fire and resilience of the woman herself. She’s on a path — not just a physical one, but a symbolic journey — and we are simply invited to walk alongside her for a moment. |
