This painting is a homage to the culture, creativity, and strength of this ancient range, which has inspired and sheltered so many artists and communities over time. I am fascinated by the way light dances through the towering bunya pines, highlighting their textures and shifting forms. The shadows cast between the trees hint at stories untold and connections that linger in the landscape. Through this work, I aim to honour the spirit of the place and invite others to pause, look deeper, and feel the quiet power held within these mountains.
