| Born 1980 I am a multi-media artist working remotely in Western Australia. Inspired by Francis Bacon, Maya Bloch and Judy Chicago I explore an approach to art that examines a surreal, layered concept. Within my art is an intricate web of desires and demonstrative emotions. I react to the confusion of life as absurd and as a way of exploring dis-ease. This piece explores the obscure and overwhelming as an exploration of encounters with each other. The female is poised for stillness, whilst the bananas dance around her mind’s gaze. The colours are rich, deep and shadowy to demonstrate the layers of perception in the interior. |
