| Kelly Hogan is an emerging artist whose vibrant paintings
celebrate a love of fashion and costume in portraiture.
Through her signature “cropped” portraits, Hogan’s art
speaks to the ability of dress to articulate a sense of
self to the world. Her playful close observations also
invite the viewer to appreciate the visual intrigue of
clothing brought alive by the body.
Hogan graduated from the Queensland College of
Art and Design last year, and recently completed a
studio residency with GC Creative Spaces on the Gold Coast. |
