| Eira-Shay is an emerging painter based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. As a self-taught artist, she has developed a distinctive style through experimentation with oil, charcoal, and carved wood. Her use of organic materials brings warmth and texture to her work, allowing the wood grain to glow beneath translucent layers of paint. Bold charcoal markings and delicate carvings intertwine to create dreamlike narratives.
Her paintings explore themes of mysticism, femininity, and the interconnection between self and nature. Through independent immersive exhibitions and large-scale private commissions, Eira-Shay has established a dedicated collector base. Recently, she received a grant to exhibit at The Other Art Fair in Sydney. She is currently supported by the Gold Coast City Council’s Creative Spaces residency, where she is working on her next body of work exploring water. |
