| I am a contemporary realist artist based in Sydney, Australia. My love for the arts began at a very young age. I studied classical drawing at the School of Arts in Malta before pursuing a career as a medical scientist and researcher.
My passion for the arts never waned, however. I taught myself oil painting, driven by a fascination with the medium. Eventually, I left my long-term career to become a professional artist. My recent works include a range of still life and travel-inspired depictions of the Australian landscape, influenced by realist and impressionist masters as well as modern painters. From my home studio in Sydney, I create a steady stream of new pieces and commissioned paintings. My artwork has been featured in books and magazines and is held in private and corporate collections both in Australia and internationally.
As a professional painter, I’m deeply passionate about teaching others the craft. I’ve been instructing students in drawing and painting at various locations across Sydney. I focus equally on explaining techniques and the reasoning behind them, empowering students to think critically and make independent choices in their work. |
