| Hi, I'm Wendy born 1960.
I was taught to paint landscapes, when I was about 8, by my Mother, Roslyn Smith, the whole family, except Dad, and my aunty would go out in the bush at Terry Hie Hie, NSW, to paint. My grandmother painted ballerinas and two of my sisters are graphic artists. My 3 children also have an artistic flare, Kaysha is very talented. Painting is like breathing to me. I first started portraits 5 years ago with The Half Dozen Group of Artists, I'm only now finding my style in that form. I prefer to paint in oils but have found I also like pastels and charcoal. |
