| A Melbourne/ Naarm based artist the style of my work is through lines and colour composition. I derive an image or shape through building on colour within it's outline.
I began in highschool drawing and painting portraits, still life and animals.
My strongest medium during this time was oil sticks. Not oil pastels but sticks which allowed me to work directly with my hands, blending a consistency of colours that would shape an image.
Eventually in my mid twenties I began exploring nudes that would lead me to carve out an understanding in producing muscular work with which you will find I have incorporated into my other worldly beings and mythical creatures, furthermore it would also later assist in my understanding of costume design.
The strength of my work stems from a film and narrative I began over 10 years ago.
It would be in the Melbourne lock downs that I would return to this film illustrating, reimagining and further exploring characters, creatures, beings and costume design.
