| Born in Austria, Sibylle Zinnocker has been immersed in creativity since childhood.
She studied art at the HBLA für Künstlerlische Gestaltung in Linz, where she spent five years honing her skills in textile design, printing, visual arts, woodwork, metalwork, and art history. She graduated in 2001 with a solid foundation in artistic expression across many mediums.
After relocating to Australia and working in a career outside the arts, Sibylle eventually rediscovered her passion for painting in 2020 through an abstract painting workshop. Since then, she has dedicated herself to exploring the limitless possibilities of abstraction, using art as a means of self-expression, mindfulness, and creative freedom.
Sibylle draws inspiration from nature and is heavily influenced by the colours of her surroundings. Her process is intuitive—beginning with an idea of a palette, she applies paint spontaneously, allowing the composition to evolve organically. This creates an element of unpredictability and the unknown, which means each piece is a journey of discovery, where the final artwork remains a delightful surprise, even to her.
Now working towards her dream of a full-time art career, Sibylle remains committed to maintaining art as her sanctuary—where creativity flourishes without constraint. |
