I am a primary school teacher, artist living in rural nsw in the city of Orange.
I’ve always loved to paint and have recently started again. I am surrounded by beautiful women in my family and I was inspired by their ageless beauty and enjoy creating works that reflect this point of view.
I love colour and influenced by cubism, I paint in the realm of abstract realism with a particular focus on portraits.
My expressive acrylic paintings on canvas aim to explore the intersection of beauty, age and identity.
Through my work I confront the societal tendency to celebrate youth and beauty while allowing women to feel overlooked as they age.
My portraits challenge the viewer to reconsider the traditional standards of visibility and worth.
By capturing the raw essence of my subjects my art emphasises the power and depth that comes with experience and age, providing space for women to reclaim their narrative.
