|  Maria Belen Smith is a contemporary expressionist painter and a dedicated emerging artist, with a focus on communicating spiritual storytelling through art. She often employs vibrant striking colours, emphatic brushwork and contoured forms in a post-impressionistic manner, with Van Gogh and Gauguin influences, achieving an individualistic cohesive approach to the canvas.
Maria is an Australian local Gold Coast artist. Born in Chile (known as "pais de los poetas" - the country of poets) gives her a fascinating outlook on cultural influences.
