| Maggie was born in Scotland and, after living in various places settled in Bundaberg in 2003. A degree in Botany from the University of Aberdeen influenced both her professional and artistic life.
After retirement from science teaching Maggie studied with Bill Bonner of the Queensland School of Fine Art. This started her realistic art practice in graphite and acrylic. More recently Maggie has explored the mediums of colour pencil, watercolour and collage. Maggie focuses on the natural environment especially the flora and this has been the subject matter of work submitted to exhibitions and competitions.
Recent exhibition history included joint exhibitions at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, and Gayndah Art Gallery with plans for an exhibition at Kingaroy Art Gallery. Maggie has won awards from various exhibitions in the Wide Bay Burnett area.
