Born in South Africa, grown in New Zealand and choosing to adult in Australia's spectacular Sunshine Coast, for Kate Vox, the call to create was intrinsic.
She has spent her life being a multidisciplinary artist, (Musician, TV presenter, Actor and now Fine Artist).
It was never really a matter of If she would sit in a quiet space and create beautiful artworks, but WHEN.
When, is now, for it has taken this much life to find the voice for what her heart has to say, and as it turns out...it's quite chatty!

"My art is an invitation to feel good!
Deeply, profoundly, joyfully good!
There are other ways I can describe it:
Promoting a sense of inner peace or well-being...
Joyful alignment with our truest and happiest selves...
Highlighting the abundance all around us... Noticing the good in everything and everyone, including ourselves!
My paintings mirror my attitude towards life; colours are vibrant and alive, with a sense of raw power, wrapped in joyful contentment.
My subjects, generally women or children, are ever outdoors, likely barefoot and always feeling something good!
Whether it be curiosity, wonder, or the sun on their skin...
An ocean breeze and sand between their toes, or soaking in a lush sunset.
I often paint wild animals alongside people because I believe we recognise the truth of ourselves in their guilelessness. They are without filter, vulnerable, powerful, and present.
Materials change, playing with charcoal, mixed media and finishing in delightfully juicy oils, or perhaps an alla prima sky in oils from start to finish..
What is unlikely to change are the reoccurring themes of our interconnectedness with our environment and each other, the art of self-contentment, and joyful living."
