For many years, I lived in survival mode — disconnected from myself, my voice, and my creativity. Trauma silenced parts of me that once felt expressive, curious, and full of colour. But through deep personal work and commitment to healing, I slowly began to reclaim those parts. You see, I am a survivor of Domestic Violence!

Returning to art wasn’t just about picking up a paintbrush again — it was about finding a way to process grief, resilience, and the layered emotions that words often failed to hold. Creating became a sacred space where I could explore my truth, honour my journey, and begin to piece together a sense of self that felt grounded and whole.

Art has become my way of turning pain into purpose, silence into expression, and survival into transformation
