| In my working life in education I really enjoyed providing art experiences for children with special needs so in my retirement I knew that art would be a wonderful hobby. I tried watercolours and oils but when my family gifted me some art classes at a local studio I have now embraced painting in acrilycs. I am proud of the work I have produced especially the portraits of my grandchildren followed by landscapes, seascapes, plants and flowers and recently some beautiful birds. I now find myself enjoying painting more and more and devote lots of my free time to my art. Recently I have exhibited some of my work and received favourable attention including a Peoples Choice Award. I look for inspiration in nature and where ever I might be. |
