| I love to paint typically on canvas using brushes, pallette knives or fingers with a previous background based in ceramics with a Certificate IV in Studio Ceramics. I have ceramic installations in Woolgoolga NSW on the library wall, Coffs Harbour University part of a group totem, as well as a totem in Qld as part of a university practicum working with mental health and psychosocial participants.
Colour plays a vital role in my work, evoking specific emotions, setting the tone of my work, using various colour schemes of complimentary, analogous, or monochromatic to create visual interest and different moods. Through the use of texture I am able to create depth and tactile qualities allowing visual and mental engagement within my work. I invite viewers to interpret and engage with my paintings offering a glimpse into my creative world, inviting a range of emotions, thoughts and connections.
