| Art has always played a part in my life since I was a little girl. I majored in Art at teachers training college in South Africa. I loved the smell of the art classroom. Dabbling in art took a back seat after I emigrated to Australia as my focus at the time was to secure a job as a primary school teacher. However art was always the little whisper in my ear that reminded me to pick up a paintbrush. Once I became a stay at home mom I loved painting; being creative with my children and decorating their rooms with murals. I participated in weekly art classes and some weekend workshops at Arts Tree in Wynnum until such time their doors closed for business at the end of 2025. Thanks to the incredible teachers at Arts Tree feel confident to pursue art as a career.
